- $500 at 90 (3 months) days of employment
- $1000 at 270 (9 months) days of employment
- Part time rostered shifts of 20 hour per week based in Kaitaia.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

In this role you will be supporting our tāngata in their whare based in Kaitaia. This is a busy whare that has four residential tāngata. You will be part of a team who do amazing work with our tāngata that have complex needs; it is both challenging and rewarding and you will make a tangible difference to the lives of the people you support. Our tāngata lead busy, active lives which may include attending day services classes, formal functions, gym classes, swimming and visiting whanau.

The roster includes working days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends.

You will be supporting with every day needs such as bathing, food preparation, administering medication and a variety of other duties which enable an independent and great quality of life. It’s important to understand this is a whare/home environment for our tāngata so the more you can do to make it feel like a home the better.

We work to a rotating 24/07 roster, typically the shifts are:

- 7am-3pm;
- 3pm-11pm;
- 11pm-7am (sleep over includes an additional allowance);
- 1pm-9pm.

This is a part time position of 20 hour per week.

It would be great if you already have your levels in Health & Wellbeing however you also may not have previous experience but you enjoy supporting those around you in your own life, you are the ‘go to’ support person and you are naturally drawn to helping others.

You may have significant life experience which includes caring for a loved one; you may be tired of manual labour and looking for something more fulfilling; you may be retired or now able to work around other whanau commitments. You may even be studying and just starting out in your career.

Your skills will include:

- Working with diversity;
- A wide range of communications skills.
- The ability to set goals and work towards them.
- A good level of physical fitness and mobility.
- Prior experience with manual hoist/support of high wheelchair users (advantageous)
