These qualities play a big role in creating a positive environment for the individual's well-being. It's also really important to be able to follow established procedures and collaborate effectively with the team.

It's worth noting that the responsibilities of the Support Worker extend beyond just looking after this individual. You'll also be part of a rotation, assisting with various services at different times, highlighting the dynamic nature of this job.

**Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring**

No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts.
- Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
- Possession of a Full NZ driver's license or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
