**About this role**:
We have an opportunity for a Pou Tikanga - Principal Tikanga Adviser to join our Maaori Partnerships Team. This role will be responsible for the facilitation of formalities and the provision of guidance on policies and practices, in relation to tikanga Maaori.
**What I do?**
You will work alongside the Maaori Partnerships Team to plan and lead formal events where tikanga expertise is required, to advocate for Maaori clients and to support the advancement of inter-iwi relationships.
You will add value to the organisation by nurturing a culturally responsive environment through the implementation of initiatives which build cultural capability and appreciation for all staff.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to advise on tikanga and historical knowledge, to support the building of mutually beneficial relationships and to improve outcomes for Maaori.
