Mobile Mechanic

AB Group Limited is seeking a **Mobile Mechanic** who will be responsible for providing emergency mechanical service to company clients on the road. The mechanic will be required to provide services within the Auckland region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Customer Response and Communication:

- Respond promptly to customer calls requesting mechanical assistance.
- Provide customers with an estimated time of arrival (ETA).
- Mechanical Service and Diagnosis:

- Travel to the customer’s location using the company-provided vehicle equipped with necessary tools or small engine parts.
- Conduct a thorough mechanical diagnosis to identify faults in engines and other vehicle parts.
- Repair and Maintenance:

- Perform repairs as needed, referring to service manuals for guidance.
- If a repair cannot be completed onsite due to any constraints, refer the vehicle to an authorised garage or workshop.
- Conduct maintenance services when requested, including lubrication, battery charging, and engine tune-ups.
- Reassembly and Inspection:

- Reassemble parts after repairs are complete, ensuring they function correctly.
- Perform a final inspection of the vehicle to confirm it is road-worthy.
- Coordination with Towing Services: Coordinate with winching or towing service teams when a vehicle cannot be repaired on-site and needs to be transported.
- Compliance and Safety:

- Adhere strictly to company policies and guidelines relating to all work performed.
- Follow industry standards and safety guidelines to maintain high-quality service and ensure personal and public safety.
- Payment Collection: Collect payments from customers via cash, credit, or debit cards after service completion.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all equipment, ensuring tools are clean and in good working condition.

**Important**

A minimum work of 30 hours per week is required.

**Other essential requirements for the role**:

- Minimum of 6 months relevant experience or relevant qualification/certificate/diploma
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Available to work on weekends and do rotating shifts as per business requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Physically fit
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
- This role requires travelling and working in various outdoor environments under potentially stressful conditions.
- Training as per company standards will be provided.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
