Flooring Installer

Carpet Act Limited is looking to hire experienced flooring installer to join their team. This is a permanent full time role, starting from $30.00 per hour based in Wellington Region.

Key Requirements:

- 3 years of experience or relevant qualifications.
- Preparing the surfaces and installing flooring in a high-quality standard.
- Knowledge in different types of flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl, laminate/SPC and timber will be an advantage.
- Measuring, cutting, applying, and securing the floor coverings
- Picking up materials from warehouse/sites and keeping track of equipment.
- Awareness in health and safety equipment and processes by ensuring worksite cleanliness and free of hazards.
- Ability to use variety of tools / equipment.
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
- Ability to provide quality work in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work late hours, weekends and on a rotational basis as and when demanded by the project.
- Materials and equipment will be provided by the company.
- Must have clean character record and pre-employment drug test.

Remuneration will vary from $30.00 to $32.00 an hour with minimum of 30 hours a week. Any overtime will be paid as per the base payrate.

Pay: $29.70 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- NZ Resident visa or citizenship? (required)
