**Deasil Mechanic**
**Tasks Include**:
- detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
- dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- Maintaining a parts inventory.
- repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
- Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
- Consulting the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associate test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
**SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Two years relevant experience.
- The applicant may require to work all over the Auckland.
