**Te āheinga: The opportunity**

Fulltime, Fixed term role commencing 8 July 2024 through to 5 July 2025.

As a Head of School, you will provide leadership for the Bridgepoint and Community Studies Schools. The role entails effectively managing your people and resources, while working collaboratively across and beyond the organisation to deliver the vision and strategic goals of Unitec.

Based at our Mt. Albert campus, you'll drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in learning, teaching and research. You'll ensure that your School is able to be responsive to demands from our students, industries, communities and external stakeholders.

You will be working alongside other Heads of School and senior leaders across the organisation to significantly influence not only an institution and sector of huge promise, but also the lives of tomorrow's graduates.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

To be successful in this position you'll have significant senior academic leadership and management experience and proven capacity to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a senior team. Your values, experience, insight and passion for academic quality and adherence to excellence will make a positive difference to Unitec.

You'll hold academic qualifications appropriate to the School, preferably a Masters or Doctorate in a relevant discipline and have the kind of networks which will allow you to maintain a current and far-reaching view of that industry.

We are looking for you to demonstrate evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments, and an understanding of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori.
