Dismantling Mechanic

Our client is a leading provider of heavy-duty diesel engine parts and equipment. Our client is now on the look our for an experienced qualified mechanic that could already be in the dismantling industry or looking for a change.

As a Dismantling Mechanic you will play a crucial role in the engine reconditioning process. You will be responsible for disassembling and inspecting heavy diesel engines to identify worn or damaged components getting them ready for sale.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform systematic disassembly of heavy diesel engines according to standard procedures.
- Inspect engine components, identify wear, damage, or other defects.
- Utilize appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment to dismantle engines efficiently and safely.
- Clean and organize dismantled components ready for sale.
- Collaborate with other team members.
- Adhere to safety protocols.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as mechanic specializing in heavy diesel engines.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy diesel engine components, systems, and their operation.
- Proficiency in using various tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery relevant to engine disassembly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Mechanical qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy diesel engines.
- Forklift license would be preferred but not essential.
