**Casual Mental Health Care Assistant - Waiatarau Acute Inpatient Unit**
- **Casual Role**:

- **Based at Waitakere Hospital**

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitemata serves the communities of North and West Auckland and the Rodney District dedicated to delivering public health care. We are committed to the_ “best care for everyone”_ - to the patient, their family/whanau, the community and iwi, and the healthcare workforce.

**About the role**

We are looking for dedicated Mental Health Care Assistants to work in Waiatarau, a purpose-built Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit. You will be part of a helpful and supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will need to remain calm under pressure and display resilience. You will also be a confident and clear communicator, with good verbal language skills.

It is important that you have enthusiasm for working within mental health, and are self-motivated, energetic, and have a positive attitude. Previous experience within a mental health setting would be advantageous, but is not a requirement.

**Benefits**
- A rewarding role that contributes to the health outcomes of our community
- Working within a dynamic team with meaningful purpose alongside other enthusiastic and committed people
- A supportive workplace culture

At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitemata, we are driven by our values "everyone matters," "with compassion," "connected" and "better, best, brilliant." We are committed to living up to these values and give you the right balance of autonomy, support, development, encouragement and aroha.
