**Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role**
We are looking for an on-to-it and proactive Advisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join Te Whare / The Chief District Court Judges' Chambers.
The role provides a broad range of advisory services including secretariat support for District Court Judicial Committees, developing high quality briefings, papers, and correspondence and event planning for medium to large sized judicial conferences and events.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Providing advisory and secretariat support for District Court Judicial Committees
- Preparing high quality briefings, papers and correspondence for senior managers and members of the Judiciary
- Event planning and logistics for judicial conferences and events such as swearing-in ceremonies, conferences and wānanga.

***We are looking for applicants who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, someone who uses their initiative and thinks ahead. The ideal applicant will have excellent time management and organisation capabilities with strong interpersonal skills.
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- A strong team player who will contribute to a positive team culture
- Well developed writing skills who can deliver work on time and to a high standard
- Experience working with senior managers or the judiciary
- Previous secretariat experience along with experience working with the law would be considered an advantage

Te Whare o Ngā Kaihautū Waka o Te Kōti-ā-Rohe o Aotearoa) Office of the Chief District Court Judge provides administrative, operational and strategic support to the District Court Judicial Leadership team comprising the Chief District Court Judge, National Executive Judge, Principal Family Court Judge and the Principal Youth Court Judge.
