**The Role**

Synlait are looking for an experienced Calibration Specialist to join their passionate team based in Dunsandel.

Reporting to the Liquids Laboratory Manager your responsibilities include:

- Ensure all laboratory and plant testing equipment is calibrated, serviced and maintained to required standards
- Ensure plant standardisation equipment (FOSS) is calibrated accurately to allow product to meet specification limits
- Troubleshoot calibration issues for both in-process and final product analysis
- Meet IANZ accreditation requirements of the laboratory
- Maintain aspects of a functioning laboratory operation i.e. - building and facility management.
- Write and maintain current and accurate SOPs, test and training records

**Skills and Experience**

Please be advised this is a full time, 40-hour, 4 day shift role, from Wednesday to Saturday.

To be considered for this role will require:

- A tertiary education in Science or Technology or equivalent
- Experience in calibration of laboratory equipment and In-Process plant instrument calibration (e.g. FOSS - FTIR, NIR)
- Knowledge of laboratory accreditation requirements
- Familiarity with hygiene practice in a food or dairy industry environment
- Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and pride in your work.
- Ability to communicate well to a variety of stakeholders
