**The opportunity**

We are looking for a Principal/Technical Director to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Palmerston North. If you are motivated by coaching others, building a strong culture through leading by example and committed to robust design processes then you would be ideal for this role - YOU are who we are looking for

We have delivered many of New Zealand’s key projects in the Central New Zealand region including the Mackays to Peka Peka and Peka Peka to Otaki motorway extensions for Waka Kotahi, Beltway Cycleway for Hutt City Council and Main Wharf North replacement for Port Nelson.

Every day will provide you with the opportunity to have fun, be challenged and meet new people. Overall, this role will see you:

- Delivering and leading civil projects with local authorities and utility providers
- Coaching and supporting your colleagues on project planning and execution
- Providing technical direction and leadership on a range of projects by understanding our client's businesses and strategic issues within the Land Transport or broader Civil Engineering market segments
- Win and bid work, including sole source opportunities through building enduring relationships
- Networking and developing relationships across Beca and with clients
- Have the opportunity to lead and/or participate in projects locally, throughout New Zealand and across the Pacific
- Working with highly motivated professionals, in an open and supportive culture that values the skills you contribute

**About you**

Being a values-driven individual, you will enjoy sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence. You are an experienced Civil Engineer, holding or working towards industry accreditation. Bringing your experience from a similar consulting environment you love to learn and share knowledge and are looking for the opportunity to bring these to a team. You are someone who can bring a fresh perspective and who continually seeks to improve processes and efficiencies for execution and output quality. You are passionate and motivated about leading and growing others and thrive in leadership roles where you can own the delivery of quality client outcomes.
