Advanced Clinician Social Worker - Adult Services, Specialist Mental Health Services

Permanent, full-time role
1 FTE (40 hours per week)
Based in Takapuna

SMHS provides mental health input and assessment for tāngata whai i te ora experiencing moderate to severe mental health symptoms and moderate to severe impairment in psychosocial functioning.
We are excited to offer an innovative and unique social work advance practice role. Based at the Waitematā Community Mental Health Centre on Taharoto Road in Takapuna, the role works across the acute and recovery teams and reaches into inpatient units, supporting those with complex social work needs across the inpatient and community continuum of care including 0.40 FTE for inpatient focus.We seek a motivated and committed registered social worker who demonstrates advanced knowledge and clinical expertise, adept in navigating the conflicting challenges present in safeguarding practices with tangata whai i te ora and their whanau.
Ensuring equitable access to and delivery of social work practice to improve health outcomes for Māori, Pasifika and disabled populations would be pivotal in your practice.
You will provide clinical and practice consultancy to the social workers and multidisciplinary team members, demonstrate leadership with respect to safeguarding adults from abuse, and contribute to ongoing development of services to meet needs the future needs of the Waitematā communities.

**Required**:
A current annual practising certificate
Full and clean NZ drivers' licence
Legal right to work in NZ
