You will be responsible for delivering projects with respect to structural design, quality, programme, and budgets. This will include interfacing and coordinating outcomes from related disciplines such as geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, and dams' teams.

We have an opening as Team Lead of our Auckland-based structural team. Our team of dedicated structural engineers are known for their responsiveness and flexibility in adapting to project and client requirements with simple robust solutions to complex and unique loading situations. Our team works closely with our in-house geotechnical discipline (New Zealand's largest) to deliver some of New Zealand's largest and award-winning projects of the last 20 years, including Waterview Connection, Central Rail Link (CRL), Waimea Dam, Northern Gateway Alliance and Penlink.

**Na tōu rourou | What you'll bring**
- Relevant BE (hons) or MEng qualification in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Civil Engineer (CPEng or overseas equivalent e.g. IStructE)
- Ideally, 15+ years' experience in structural design, with an emphasis on civil structures, including bridges, tunnels, dams, retaining structures, and marine structures.
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Expertise in seismic analysis and design
- Expert witness or insurance experience preferred
- Emphasis on simple, robust solutions to complex issues
- Project management
- Client relationship management
- Experience in a consulting environment at a senior level
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Proven ability to deliver a quality product on time
- Strong delegation skills with the ability to coach and support junior engineers.
