Here at Tamatea PAK'nSAVE we strive to give our valued customers an amazing experience every time they shop with us As Checkout 2IC, you'll be tasked with the responsibility to support the Checkout Manager and the wider checkout team to ensure a smooth front-line operation.

**The Role;**

With over 60 checkout operators, baristas and trolley/maintenance team in the department, you'll be a natural multi-tasker where no job is too complex to handle.

If you don't already have a General Manager's licence, we'll put you through the training for this.

**This is a full time permanent position working the following roster**:
**Tuesday: 10:30am - 7:00pm**
**Wednesday**:10:30am - 7:00pm**
**Thursday**:10:30am - 7:00pm**
**Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm**
**Saturday**:9:00am - 5:30pm**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring all legal obligations are met with regard to the sale of age-restricted products.
- Keeping on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
- Ensuring speedy resolution of price enquiry and other queries through effective liaison with all departments. Ensuring appropriate escalation of price scanning errors and returning customer complaint forms to the appropriate department.
- Monitoring impulse bars and fridges and ensuring stock is correctly ticketed and priced. Monitoring stationery / bag levels to ensure sufficient levels are maintained.
- Ensuring the checkout area is kept clean and tidy and all trolleys, baskets and credits are cleared away regularly to avoid clutter or potential hazards being created.
- Assisting customers with the processing of their transactions in the self-scan area where required.

**About You**

Ideally, we'd love for you to have had previous supervisory/leadership roles within a supermarket environment. But if you have the ability to connect and build rapport with people, a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, we would love to hear from you We proudly serve 25,000 people per week through the checkouts, so this is a busy role
