**About the Role**

Our client specialises in custom Sheetmetal fabrication and powder coating. They are a well-established sizable operation based on the North shore, who have developed a reputation for their high quality work and commitment to excellence.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now seeking a suitably qualified and experienced tradesperson who has a can-do, positive attitude and an excellent work ethic. This is a fast paced environment, where you will be responsible for utilising your fabrication talents to work on customised projects and turn out a variety of high-quality work.

**Duties**:

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Cut, shape, and form sheet metal using various tools and equipment
- Weld Aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
- Operate Press Brake Machines
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Measure and align materials to be used
- Inspect products and evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years trades experience
- Proficient in all types of welding of aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel
- Extensive press brake experience
- Able to undertake prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions, read, interpret and follow product plans
- Basic computer and maths skills
- Confident in using a wide range of modern machinery and tools
- Committed to Health and Safety in the workplace
