Wellington City, New Zealand Beca Full time

**Surveying at Beca**

Our people do incredible things every day; our survey team is helping shape the communities we live in across Aotearoa using cutting-edge survey technology. We are passionate about what we do and the culture we have developed. The more diverse we are, the better our ideas, strategies and client solutions will be and the more we will better represent our world. We know we are stronger when people from different backgrounds and perspectives work together. We are committed to growing an environment where our people have equal opportunity to build a career that reflects their ability and passions, believe in their potential, feel they belong, and can be their best selves.

We are proudly employee-owned, and after a century of operation, employee ownership remains key to our future. It underpins our positive, purpose-driven, growth-oriented culture; it sets us apart in our markets and gives meaning to our social contract. We are accountable, have each other's backs, don't let others down, and strive for excellence in everything we do.

**The opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a dynamic Licensed Cadastral Surveyor to join our high-performing Survey team in Wellington. Our team deliver a wide range of projects, providing survey services for cadastral, land development, large-scale infrastructure projects, geodetic, 3d modelling and topographic projects. We are excited about the opportunities ahead of us in the region.

Our projects include some of the most significant Cadastral and Land Development projects across Wellington, nationally and across the Pacific region. Our varied workload means you can specialise or diversify your skills across any area of survey of interest to you, be it Cadastral, Land Development, Topographic or Set-out.

**About you**

You will be experienced in cadastral and land development surveying for urban, rural or infrastructure projects. You may want to develop your client-facing skills or prefer a more technical pathway. You will be familiar with pricing and estimating hours for project work and a strong sense of ownership and have a record of delivering excellent quality projects on time.

With a desire to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally, as well as share your knowledge whilst learning from those around you. Ideally, you will start with a good level of competency in GNSS, robotic total stations, LandOnline and survey software; proficiency in 12d would be preferred but not essential.

You will have experience or desire in leading a team to achieve the project outcomes and communicating progress to peers and project teams. You will embrace challenges, like to learn and lead with a mindset of continual improvement. You will be a value-driven person who enjoys sharing your colleagues' successes and delivering excellence for your clients. You will desire to grow your skills, develop yourself professionally, and assist with mentoring and developing junior staff.

**What we offer**

A career with Beca will provide you with the following:

- Professional development opportunities.
- Access a modern fleet of equipment, including Scanners, UAVs, GNSS and TPS, supported by an extensive suite of software tools beyond the standard.
- A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work.
- Flexible working arrangements to balance your personal / family commitments.
- Opportunities to learn from our industry experts and technical gurus on the project or get stuck in with our national technical development group, drawing on our best ideas to keep Beca at the forefront of survey technology.
- A highly supportive environment of sharing and collaboration.
- Excellent benefits are provided to all staff - including discounted health insurance, discounts on gym memberships, and a considerable number of social club events.
