**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
As an Anaesthetics Registrar at Dunedin Hospital, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team of 37 Consultants (27 FTE), 10 Registrars and 1 SHO who get to see it all, with exposure to a wide range of cases, including:
- Cardiac surgery
- General surgery
- Neurosurgery
- ENT and head & neck cancers
- Hepato-Biliary surgery
- Paediatric surgery
- Vascular surgery
- Acute Pain Sessions
- Scoliosis surgery
- Persistent Pain Clinics
- Obstetrics
- Anaesthetic Pre-assessment Service
- Urology
The opportunity to provide healthcare to a large geographical area, ensuring your exposure to a wide range of work. Excellent support and opportunities for development through a high level of SMO contact and supervision. Four hours of protected teaching time per week (two hours of consultant-led exam teaching and two hours of departmental education), and a generous allowance for courses.
Up to three years of accredited training with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) at any level, from junior registrar through to Provisional Fellow.
Potential to link with registrar positions in our ICU, including Aeromedical Retrieval and free meals when on duty.

**Mōu ake | About you**
We are interested in hearing from RMOs with a minimum of two years’ post qualification experience and a minimum of six months’ experience in Anaesthesia. Some obstetric anaesthesia experience is also preferable.
