Purapura Whetu in partnership with Odyssey House Christchurch who have been providing drug and alcohol treatment programmes for over 30 years across many settings. The Drug Treatment Programme at Christchurch Mens Prisonseeks to address alcohol and drug harm by supporting tngata whai ora (people seeking wellness). The programme offers a mix of clinical approaches underpinned by Mori and Pasifika concepts of health and wellbeing from a Therapeutic Community model.

As part of our team at the Drug Treatment Programme, you will build upon the excellent work already being done in the programme.Your role will include supporting cultural program aspects, assessments anddelivery of individual and group interventions for tngata whaora.

You will provide cultural input to guide and supporttngata whaiora andother team members.

**You will have**:

- A high level of understanding of tikanga Mori and its importance within this setting
- A relevant degree-level health qualification in alcohol and other drugs (AOD), social work or mental health or be willing to work towards this
- Skills in group delivery and individual interventions
- Skills in delivering AOD services from a Mori and Pasifika framework
- Excellent professional judgement and strong boundaries
- Report writing skills and computer proficiency
- An understanding of working in a Corrections environment
