Groundsman

**About the Role**:
Join ANZCO Foods Canterbury as a Groundsman. This role will see you responsible for keeping our extensive grounds and surrounds tidy and well-manicured for an appealing first impression as you enter the site you will also be responsible for any ground's maintenance.

This role is full-time for the right person (44 hours per week), additional hours may be required from time to time. Reporting to our Site Services Supervisor this position is based at ANZCO Foods Canterbury, Seafield Road, Ashburton.

**Duties and Responsibilities will include**:

- Lawn mowing (a combination of ride on and hand mowing)
- Ensuring maintenance of the role's machinery is kept up
- Weedspraying
- Keeping small garden and tree areas tidy
- Occasional washing of exterior walls and windows
- Washing plant owned vehicles as required
- Flags (raise and lower) plus maintenance
- Shed upkeep
- Security cover when needed (Animal Welfare Certificate required)

Other tasks as required

**Skills and Experience we are looking for**:

- Preferably have experience in large scale mowing/caring for lawns
- Competent use and maintenance of large scale machinery (must have full licence)
- Works safely with chemicals
- Fit and able to undertake physical work
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks
- Communicates well with other people
