Auckland - City of Sails - combines the hustle and bustle of an urban city with the spectacular natural beauty of our harbours, islands, beaches, mountains and forests.

Located in South Auckland, Middlemore Hospital is the largest tertiary hospital operated by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand. We serve the diverse and often high needs population of Counties Manukau district, which stretches across Otahuhu to Port Waikato.

The Clinical Pharmacy service is committed to providing excellent patient-centred care and achieving equitable health outcomes through collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation. We are proud to be one of the leading Clinical Pharmacy services in Australasia with established systems and technology to support the safe and effective use of medicines for our patients, from admission to discharge. Our clinical pharmacists have a strong presence and are well-regarded across the organisation. Our work is visible and highly valued not just in the direct patient care setting but also in clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary team as well as systems improvement and governance. With a talented team of almost 50 clinical pharmacists, we provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas spanning across Medicine, Surgery (including National Burns Centre & Spinal Unit), Older People’s Health & Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Women’s & Children’s Health, Mental Health, Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship, Palliative Care, Complex Pain, Refugee Health and Medicines Information.

**Successful applicants must be**:

- Eligible to work in NZ
- New Zealand registered pharmacist with current APC or eligibility to obtain one
- Able to work flexible hours and participate in our on call, weekend and extended hours rosters
