We are in the animal health business, partnering with our clients in the areas of Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing to produce pharmaceuticals for both farm and companion animals. **About the role**

With an ever-increasing number of new projects in the Technical Services department, we have an opportunity for a Packaging Technologist to join the team. This is a pivotal role in the business, acting as the glue between the R&D side and the commercial operation.

The purpose of this team is to ensure new products going to market are fit for purpose, sustainable for our future, and optimised to their full potential so that costs are reduced, and products can service animals faster.

Your days will be kept busy with projects in both the technical transfer space such as scale up and packaging validation as well as commercial investigations, trouble shooting and packaging improvements. In this role, you will need to multi-task and work with a variety of departments internally as well as with Argenta’s clients. To be effective in your role, you will need to stay up to date with regulatory protocols, relevant scientific literature, and global packaging requirements.

**About you**

We are specifically looking for someone with a relevant tertiary qualification such as Engineering or Technology as well as entry level industry experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or manufacturing business. Your experience will include an understanding of manufacturing and validation regulations, and lean manufacturing technologies.

Technically, you will have strong skills in report writing, analysing data, and re-engineering procedures. In addition, as this role works both clients and various internal teams, ability to build and maintain relationships is vital. By nature, you’ll be an energetic, driven person with an ability to manage your priorities and time accordingly.

The working hours of this role are Monday to Friday, standard business hours but flexibility will be required as there may be peaks and troughs with projects and occasional internationals calls outside standard hours. There will also be an opportunity to work from home from time to time.

- Computer savvy - worked previously with ERP systems and a wizz at Excel.
- Proactively take the initiative and enjoy working both independently and within a team.
- Resilience as projects and priorities frequently change.
