ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client are a government organisation who play a pivotal role supporting government strategies and ensuring the delivery of educational programmes that create meaningful learning experiences for the population of Aotearoa New Zealand.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is accountable for development of fit for purpose solution architectures that are well aligned with our clients’ strategic direction, target state architectures and approved standards. You will work closely with other architects, analysts, project teams and business representatives to support the delivery of high-quality ICT solutions.
DUTIES
- Develop and guide solution architecture and design, ensuring designs are fit for purpose, high quality and cost effective.
- Submit designs to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval and resolve any issues arising
- Contribute to the development of target state architectures, standards and roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring
- Support successful project and programme delivery
- Identify and assist with the management of security and technical risks (particularly with regard to proposed solutions)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Logical, analytical and a critical thinker and problem-solver.
- Excellent writing and information organisation/management skills.
- Ability to lead others in a technical environment
- Designing and developing solutions in AWS (preferred) and Azure
- Knowledge of REST API and Enterprise Java System design and development
