**Hours** - 9am - 3pm, 5.5 hours per shift
**Status** - This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. In this role you will be covering sick (oncall) and annual leave.
**Location** - Elizabeth Street Day Centre, Ashburton
**Salary - **Starting from $51,820 per annum. Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**

Elizabeth Street Day Centre provides an activity programme aimed at maintaining the best possible physical, psychological and social functioning for each member.

The Centre is open from 10am until 3pm every weekday and offers a range of services, such as socialisation, craft and handwork, assistance with skills for daily living, and recreational activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting the coordinator in implementing appropriate activities based on group and individual needs;
- Planning, facilitating, leading and supporting members in diversional activities, e.g. craft work, games, social interaction within groups;
- Communicating information relevant to the member - s conditions to the Co-ordinator and refer requests for information of members - health to the Co-ordinator

- A passion for caring for elderly persons;
- An enthusiasm for planning and implementing activities, as well as encouraging participation;
- Experience within the Health Service is advantageous;
- Certificate in Diversional Therapy (or interest in obtaining this) is preferable.
