**HR (People) Specialist**
This is an amazing NEW opportunity for a passionate hard-working person to join and help build the team at Orphans Aid International (OAI).
Orphans Aid International (OAI) is a Charitable Trust that was founded in New Zealand in 2004 and is headquartered in Queenstown. It has a network of successful op shops across the country, which generate significant funds for the organisation’s work. OAI has projects to help abandoned and orphaned children in Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Bhutan border, India and Uganda, and right here in NZ, it provides aid to projects that lift the world's most vulnerable children out of hopeless situations. Orphans Aid believes all children should THRIVE.
This role is ideally based in Queenstown but can also be performed from Dunedin, Invercargill or Palmerston North.

**Key Requirements**
- A ‘people’ person with at least 3 years’ experience as a HR generalist
- A working knowledge of HR best practice and current/evolving employment legislation
- The ability to provide credible and trusted advise to managers on all HR matters
- Experience in onboarding and offboarding, learning and development and performance reviews
- Project work such as the streamlining of HR processes, procedures, and policies
- General HR coordination and administration, for example assisting with payroll
- Supporting the Health and Safety manager including the roll out of wellness initiatives
- A confident communication who brings initiative, can work independently, and knows when to check in.
