We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our client's dynamic team in Palmerston North. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in administering radiation treatments to patients while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. Your responsibilities will include:

- Operating advanced radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, to deliver prescribed radiation treatments with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, physicists, and nurses, to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
- Performing regular patient assessments and monitoring treatment progress to ensure optimal outcomes and minimize potential side effects.
- Providing emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding the treatment process.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, treatment documentation, and compliance with relevant regulatory standards.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Radiation Therapy.
- Registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Proven experience in operating radiation therapy equipment, preferably including IMRT, IGRT, and Stereotactic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of radiation therapy.
