**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

A key role, reporting to the Head of Safety Operations, the Worker Engagement Programme Lead will be responsible for the delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of our newly created MPOWER Programme (Worker Participation and Representation Programme).

To manage this exciting and cutting-edge programme as we improve our Safety, Health, and Wellbeing strategy, this role will lead internal stakeholders through, reliable, pragmatic, and efficient safety, health, and wellbeing advice, support, and coaching.

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**

As a trusted advisor you will require a high degree of project management expertise as well as courageous leadership, gift-wrapped with exceptional influencing and communication skills.

This is an exciting role which is future focused and can shape the future safety within Tāmaki Makaurau by driving improvement programmes across the eco-system.

To be successful in this role you will need
- A Bachelor's degree within a relevant discipline is preferred but not essential
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a specialist role providing design, development and advice on safety programmes, safety technical advice and initiatives
- Proven experience with facilitation and change programmes
- Specialist expertise in Safety disciplines e.g. Vision Zero, Safe System, Transportation Safety, Safety, Health & Wellbeing and Critical Risk
- Knowledge of current theory and best practice models in safety, change management and behaviour change.
- Experience in selecting, measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of Safety programmes.
- Proven and demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders to achieve safety-based outcomes.
