**About the Role**

This is an integral role within our Finance team where you will be working closely with the National Finance Manager and directly managing our Assistant Accountant. As Financial Reporting Manager, you will have exposure to budgeting, processes and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to strengthen their technical skills and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

- ** Financial and external reporting**: Ensuring NZ IFRS compliance, management and preparation of audits, preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet, reviewing finance team journals and completing returns to Government departments
- ** Management accounting**:Analysis of monthly results, expense control and investigation, preparation of overhead and expense budgets and managing capital expenditure
- ** Treasury**:Oversee cash forecasting, preparation of information for banks, managing responses and responsibility of efficient use of cash assets
- ** Taxation**: Preparation of Income Tax Returns, ensuring GST, FBT, NRWT compliance and filing on time
- Promote J-SOX compliance and implement "best practice" policies, financial controls and procedures, with a big focus on continuous improvement

**To be successful you will need**:

- To be a degree qualified CA or CPA, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, with an understanding of SAP and Concur
- Technical and analytical skills that are second-to-none, with the ability to bring relevance and meaning to numbers
- A natural curiosity, wanting to understand the "why" and ability to work as part of a wider team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capability to present and work closely with senior leadership
- A friendly demeanour, charisma and to be able to enjoy a laugh with your peers
