Join a state of the art retail pharmacy situated at Middlemore Hospital We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and patient focused team.

This position is based in Haumanu Pharmacy which is situated in the retail area in the main foyer of the hospital and is operated by Middlemore Hospital which is a large tertiary teaching hospital. The retail pharmacy area serves patients, visitors and Counties staff.

We aim to deliver safe and excellent service to our customers. By maintaining a positive team culture and working with advanced technology and robotics to help with dispensing, we are able to achieve our goals to directing our expertise to patient education and care. As the pharmacy is busy, no two days will be the same.

In order to be considered for this role, you would need to be able to work flexible hours, contributing to rostered weekends and public holidays. You will support the dispensing functions as well as the sale and management of retail products and over the counter medicines. You will be part of some innovative initiatives and services that this pharmacy provides.

**Essential**:
Eligible to work as a pharmacy technician. You must hold or be currently working towards a National Certificate in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Technician) level 5 issued by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority
Attention to detail as accuracy is critical
Good computer skills
Experience with Toniq Dispensing programme is a plus, but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated worker and self-directed learner
Team player
Good knowledge of OTC sales and retail products
Available to work flexible hours including rostered weekends, public holidays and overtime if needed
