We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our acute Occupational Therapy team at North Shore Hospital.
This role will be commencing on Monday 9th October 2023
This is a full-time permanent role which will give you the opportunity to provide quality early assessment, intervention, rehabilitation and discharge planning through a patient centred approach within an acute general medical, surgical and orthopaedic setting.
We are looking for someone who has a broad range of skills working in the inpatient setting as you will be required to provide leadership and clinical excellence to the acute Inpatient Occupational Therapy team. You will have experience assessing and providing wheelchair and seating solutions, and assessing for how cognitive impairments impact on occupational performance.
As a senior practitioner you will be part of a senior team providing day to day clinical expertise and support to the inpatient Occupational Therapy team in close liaison with the Occupational Therapy Clinical Leader, Team Manager and Professional Clinical Leader for Occupational Therapy. You will also work closely with the Occupational Therapy Clinical Coach.
You must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and possess at least 5 years of relevant post graduate experience. You must be able to demonstrate leadership skills, strength in organisation and communication, and be motivated and passionate about quality improvement. You will also have experience in supporting staff, students and service development.
