**About the role**

As the Timber Yard Supervisor at CARTERS DUNEDIN, you will provide pivotal hands-on operational support to the branch manager by overseeing the day to day running of the timber yard, despatch, distribution and panel store areas, manging the effective flow of product and deliveries whilst supervising a team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring orders are picked, assembled and loaded quickly and efficiently.
- Process sales documentation.
- Coordinate the logistics for despatching deliveries.
- Oversee stock management.
- Lead and develop the team by inspiring, supporting, motivating, and encouraging growth and succession.
- Uphold best practise standards by leading from the front and ensuring all health and safety standards are met and adhered to.

**About you**
- Physically fit - this role will on occasion require heavy lifting.
- ** Full NZ Drivers Licence is a MUST.**:

- ** Forklift Licence (F endorsed and Osh Certificates are essential to hit the ground running).**:

- ** Proven leadership or supervisory experience** with an ability to motivate a small team is essential.
- A team player with the right attitude.
- A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Computer Savvy.
- Previous experience working in a similar yard environment is preferable.
- Building industry knowledge is advantageous.
