**Position Summary**:
**As the Project Director for Infor’s consulting projects in New Zealand, you will be responsible for**:
o The end-to-end success of all consulting projects for the assigned client.
o Owning the consulting relationship for the engagement - this role is the primary contact for any major decision and issues for the Infor delivery teams and the customer.
o Engagement ownership that is focused on successful delivery, customer retention and customer reference-ability.
o Serving as liaison between Infor and client to ensure that all targets and requirements are met, including all project milestones and budgets.
o Delivering on financial targets for the assigned client.
**This is a key role for the major Infor customer, that will require the following experience**:
o Minimum of 10 years’ experience in leading large projects
o Experience in working with large teams, including a component of remote teaming.
o Experience in delivery very large, complex projects in the public sector
o Experience in delivering projects with Infor Public Sector products would be advantageous.
o It would be an advantage to have a minimum of five years’ experience in delivering projects in asset intensive industries.
o It would be an advantage to have Considerable experience in delivering projects in Utilities, with a preference for experience in Water utilities.
To be successful, this person must have the necessary leadership experience, demeanour, emotional intelligence, communication abilities and business acumen. The right person for this role will be able to communicate effectively at the executive level, as well as move up and down the value chain of the customer organization, including navigating tough conversations and challenging personalities with integrity, respect, and a blend of firmness and flexibility that creates a positive working environment while enforcing company policies and goals. To be successful, this person will need to build a strong team culture to ensure alignment on approach to challenges as well as solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leadership, strategic vision, willingness to be hands-on and an ability to innovate and collaborate with all levels of Infor and the customer organization are keys to successfully executing on the end-to-end deployment.
- Responsible for the oversight and execution of all Infor-led projects at assigned client(s) - client list will change according to project demand.
- Builds relationships with existing customers to ensure that they are engaged and getting the most value from our services.
- Engage and partner with C- Level executives and conduct customer meetings.
- Understand customer direction, anticipate, and resolve issues, become the trusted advisor to the customer on engagement direction and management.
- Accountable for weekly resource forecasting for assigned projects.
- Partner with Sales Executives, Regional Leads, Customer Partners, Development, and other Infor leadership to manage customer relationships.
- Oversee the creation of the delivery solution, scope, and SOW.
- Work with sales, architects, services, and others to set scope, staffing and organization aspects of a new engagement. Work with all involved to reorganize and revise staffing and organization as needed.
- Ability to step-in to lead a stream of work where required to assist an inflight project.
- Provides oversight and guidance for all delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform ongoing analysis and review of engagement(s) and one-on-ones with key internal and external stakeholders to assess engagement and team health and then work with rest of PM team to make any needed changes/improvements.
- Drive customer reference-ability as evidenced by customer reference artifacts.
**Required skills and experience**:
- P&L experience related to programs and projects.
- Strong track record of managing and successfully delivering professional service engagements, programs and projects involving complex solution sets (i.e. 6-8 solutions), on-premise, cloud and hybrid.
- Proven ability to manage successful global custom and/or co-development projects.
- Certification as a PMP from PMI or equivalent.
- Track record of selling consulting services and adding value in the sales process.
- Strong influencing and persuasion skills to operate successfully in a matrixed organisation at all levels of business.
- Able to work independently but contribute fully as an effective team member.
- Adapting communication style and methods in response to varying individuals and diverse situations.
- Tackling conflict situations assertively and encouraging those involved to work together to reach solutions.
