**Job Description**:
Due to a strong pipeline of work, internal promotions, and exciting projects across Waikato / Bay of Plenty regions, we are excited to be growing our team in Hamilton. We are seeking a Senior Geometric Designer to design, draft and manage transport projects from inception, concept design through to detailed design and documentation. You will ensure all quality assurance processes are followed in the design process and through the production or coordination of design drawings and other related project documentation, delivered on time and to budget. You will have an eye for detail and technical skills to provide right first-time solutions to our clients.

**Responsibilities**:
+ Lead or support geometric designs for projects for both National and Local Government and private clients utilising previous experience On similar projects.

+ Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate the integration of road and highways designs with other disciplines including CAD, street lighting, stormwater, pavements and structures.

+ Ability to undertake 2D and/or 3D road and intersection designs based either of aerial photography or topographical surveys.

+ Preparation and review of technical reports, specifications and calculations, incl. the preparation and measure of the works to produce a schedule of quantities.

+ Client and local authority liaison for design approvals including arranging and attending meetings

Minimum Requirements

+ 5-10 years relevant professional experience on Transportation Infrastructure projects

+ Proficient in 12D, or Civil3D and AutoCAD software

+ Leadership ability or the desire to become a leader

+ Highly organized and self-motivated Design Engineer.

Advantageous

+ Member of a recognised professional institute or working towards it

+ Proficiency in Infraworks software is advantageous

+ An appreciation of road safety audits and ancillary road design elements including: roadside barriers, road drainage, street lighting, streetscape, pavements and other structures (retaining walls etc.)

The remuneration banding for this role sits between $100,000- $120,000.

**Qualifications**:
+ Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in a Relevant technical qualification
