**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Our **Parking Officers** are the face of Auckland Transport. They work to keep our roads safe and clear and provide excellent customer service to our communities. The team play a key role serving Tamaki Makaurau, educating about parking, the changing cityscape and safety - it is not just about issuing infringements

We are also looking for **Special Vehicle Lane (SVL) Officers** who monitor special vehicle lanes across Auckland to ensure they are free for buses and emergency vehicles to use in peak travel times. As a SVL Officer your role will include that of a Parking Officer, as well as having the additional responsibilities of recording footage and using complex editing software to review infringements. You'll also play an important role in educating the public about why these restrictions are in place.
- These roles work on a rotating roster, anytime between 7am to 7pm 7 days a week._

To be successful in this role:

- Clear and confident communicator
- Able to stay calm in the face of conflict
- Computer skills and basic knowledge of the MS Office suite
- A full clean New Zealand Drivers licence
- Able to use an Android phone that we use as a handheld device
- Enjoy being physically fit
- Confident and passionate about engaging with the community to answer any queries

In addition, if interested in the **Special Vehicle Lane Officer** role you will have:

- A strong attention to detail
- Good data entry skills
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to use multiple software programmes
- Knowledge/interest in cameras and CCTV monitoring
- The ability to operate professional video cameras
