**Job Description**:
AFFCO is one of New Zealand’s leading manufacturers of premium beef and lamb products. Here at AFFCO Wairoa we currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Trade's Supervisor to join our busy trade's team based at our site based in Wairoa.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Trade's Supervisor will lead a strong team of fitters and electricians, monitor general maintenance for all departments, coordinate contractors, source quotes for projects, manage the R&M log and liaise with Supervisors to ensure that production requirements are met and downtime is minimised
**Responsibilities include**:
- Coordination and supervision of all fitters, electricians, outside gang and embedded contractors on a day to day basis
- Attend to and ensure all breakdowns are a priority for maintenance staff and all breakdowns are minimized
- Roster management to ensure adequate cover is provided across all shifts and contractor usage is minimized where possible
- Preventative Maintenance is planned routinely to ensure plant and equipment performances at its optimum
- Oversee installation of compliance register and MEX
- Work with Maintenance Planner to provide annual shut schedule with costs
- A supportive, well-established preventative maintenance team
- The ability to make the role their own and autonomously manage day to day operations

**Qualifications**:
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasks
- Ability to minimise production downtime
- Ability to fault find and work under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Extensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Intermediate computer literacy
