Transport Distacher

We are a medium sized civil contracting company seeking an experienced self-motivated and enthusiastic transport dispatcher to join our fast growing company based in Riverhead, Auckland.

The majority of our transport operations provide services to our own project sites however we do have some external trucking.

You should have a customers first attitude and continually strive to deliver excellent transport services to your internal and external customers.

This role will be reporting to the Operations Manager. Your day to day interaction will be primarily with our drivers to ensure work is preformed safely and to the highest standard possible. You will also be coordinating with our project supervisors and machinery operators.

We operate Mytrucking and Eroad management systems.
Work days will typically be Monday to Friday, however, flexibility in working hours will be required recognizing the business operates 6 days a week.

**Job Requirements**:
Coordinate day to day dispatching of transport fleet
Previous experience working in the transport industry
Good geographical knowledge of the greater Auckland Region
Excellent Communication Skills
Strong Computer and administration skills
Perform well under pressure, be highly organized and good at planning
Customer Focused
Know and understand road transport and health and safety legislation.

Experience in civil contracting cartage would be of great advantage but not essential if you feel you have well developed organisational and communication skills and be comfortable operating in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.

Youll possess strong interpersonal skills to confidently lead and motivate your team. Building trust and maintaining strong positive relationships with internal and external contacts, at all levels, is paramount to the success of this role.
