**The role**

Our Integrated Networks division has an exciting opportunity for an experienced civil engineer or asset manager to provide technical expertise to the Transport Networks Asset Management team.

This is a key role where you will be responsible for working with suppliers in the development and monitoring of short and medium-term investment programmes and asset class management plans for transport network assets - including stormwater assets.

You will also help to ensure the transport network asset management practices are aligned with international industry good-practice.

**_ To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:_**
- A relevant degree in engineering, asset management or equivalent.
- Membership to a relevant professional institution / association.
- Current NZ driving licence.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in roading or other public infrastructure asset management.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in contract procurement, management and delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of RAMM, INFOR, SAP or other asset management financial systems.
- Desirable will be your exposure to local government processes and legislation
- Track record of working together in a cohesive team to gain positive outcomes

You will be a proficient communicator with first-class communication and relationship building skills, able to establish effective working relationships across the business and external partners.

This role influences Auckland Transport whole of life asset outcomes through projects from minor maintenance, renewal of existing assets to major transformational projects and investment programming for existing and new assets such as AMETI, Downtown Development programme and City Rail.
