**About the role**

Reporting to the Configuration Manager, the Configuration Data Analyst will manage the customer fleet operational software activity. You will be responsible for continuous development of the baseline configuration management environment to ensure effective and consistent management, tracking, control changes and auditing through the life of various customer assets. With a strong emphasis on Data, the Configuration Data Analyst role will also include data auditing, data security management and data quality management, linked to a long-term data improvement strategy.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Establishing protocols to support the customer operational software activity.
- Initiating discussions with the customer to gain an understanding of all requirements including various complex security obligations.
- Document the processes required to meet these requirements and obtain final sign-off by all Babcock and Defence Force stakeholders.
- Oversee biennial audits to ensure ongoing life-cycle data accuracy
- Publish and maintain procedures to ensure continuing collaborative support.
- Develop an agreed register to document software and firmware status ensuring appropriate information security is applied.
- Provide reporting to the customer and MEST when requested.
- Oversee the secure storage of customer supplied software.

**About you**

You are an IT professional with demonstrated experience in a similar role and a qualification or certification in configuration management. With advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite and ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, and data management systems like ProjectWise, VAULT. You have strong attention to detail and the ability to organise and manage technical information.

Knowledge of maritime industry is desirable but not essential.
