**Position Overview**:
The Co-Facilitator of the Bereaved by Suicide Support Group will work closely with the Lead Facilitator to plan, develop, and co-lead therapy sessions for individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. This role requires compassion, sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills to provide support and guidance to group members as they navigate the grieving process.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Collaboration and Planning**:
Work collaboratively with the Lead Facilitator to plan and develop the Bereaved by Suicide Support Group sessions.

Assist in creating session agendas, topics for discussion, and therapeutic activities to address the needs of group members.

Co-Leading Group Therapy Sessions:
Co-lead the Bereaved by Suicide Support Group therapy sessions alongside the Lead Facilitator.

Provide emotional support, guidance, and encouragement to group members as they share their experiences and feelings related to their loss.

Facilitate discussions, activities, and exercises designed to promote healing, coping skills, and resilience among group members.

Maintain a safe and supportive environment within the group, ensuring that all participants feel respected, valued, and heard.

**Administrative Duties**:
Collaborate with the Lead Facilitator to evaluate the effectiveness of group interventions and make recommendations for improvements.

Communicate regularly with the Lead Facilitator to provide updates on group progress, challenges, and any emerging themes or issues.

Professional Development:
Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in bereavement support and suicide prevention.

Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities related to grief counseling, group facilitation, and mental health support.

Continuously enhance skills and knowledge to better serve the needs of bereaved individuals and their families.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Previous experience facilitating support groups or group therapy sessions, particularly for individuals experiencing grief or trauma.

Knowledge of bereavement support principles, suicide prevention strategies, and trauma-informed care approaches.

Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse individuals experiencing emotional distress.

Compassion, empathy, and sensitivity to the needs of bereaved individuals and their families.

**Working Conditions**:
The Co-Facilitator of the Bereaved by Suicide Support Group will primarily work in a group therapy setting.

This position may involve exposure to emotionally distressing situations and conversations related to suicide and grief. Support and supervision will be available as needed.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 2 per week
