Position Details:
Job Title: Baker Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time permanent

Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 32 hours (maximum 40 hours)

Working Hours: between 4 am to 1 pm, Saturday to Tuesday

Business hours: From 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through to Sunday, you may be required to work during these hours in case of a staff shortage.

Availability: Weekends and public holidays except Christmas and New Year (as needed to meet business operation hours)

**Responsibilities**:
As a Baker Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

- Gather food ingredients for cooking and serving.
- Collect pots and pans for cooking food ingredients.
- Weigh and measure ingredients for baking.
- Wash, peel, cut, slice, and dice ingredients for cooking and serving.
- Assist the baker in making pies, sweets, and cooking hot food.
- Prepare and cook meat sauce gravy for the baker.
- Store food supplies, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware in designated storage areas.
- Clean the floor and shop windows at the end of the shift.
- Follow food safety hygiene and empty the rubbish bin at the end of the shift.
- Help with making bread and donuts.
- Assist in adjusting pie refills for daily sale.

**Qualifications/Work Experience**:

- No specific qualifications or work experience are required. We welcome individuals with a passion for working in a café and bakery environment who possess a friendly smile and a positive attitude.

- Physical fitness, as the role may involve standing for extended periods and in high-heat conditions

Remuneration: The hourly pay for this position ranges from $25 to $28, depending on your skill level and work experience.

Important Requirements:

- Successful completion of a drug test
- Clean criminal record
