The maternity service of Te Matau a Māui - Hawkes Bay comprises of a busy secondary unit and an alongside primary birthing unit located in Hastings, as well as a remote rural primary birthing unit in Wairoa, Northern Hawkes Bay. The maternity team is committed to delivering excellent care that upholds Te Tiriti O Waitangi and, as our commitment to Hau te Kura, provides the best health outcomes for our community. As Midwifery Educator, you will be responsible for working with the wider midwifery leadership team to promote a working environment that encourages and supports ongoing learning and development for the whole team.
- significant experience (5 + years) in the provision of both primary and secondary midwifery care
- exceptional communication skills
- proven ability and passion for education
- the ability to develop and bring out the best in others
