We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Supermarket Assistantto join our team at Fruit World Henderson. As a Supermarket Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the supermarketand delivering exceptional customer service. We are now looking for 2 people to join our friendly team.

**The duties include**:

- Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, ensuring efficient storage of fruits and related products on shelves, and maintaining organized stock levels.Monitor stock levels regularly and restock items as necessary to ensure products are readily available to customers.
- Collect and arrange trolleys in designated areas to maintain an organized and safe store environment.
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude, offer assistance in locating products, provide accurate product information, and answer any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Strive to deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers, addressing their needs, resolving complaints effectively, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register accurately, process transactions, handle cash and electronic payments, issue receipts, and maintain a balanced till at all times.
- Ensure aisles are clean, properly labeled, and well-stocked to create an appealing shopping environment for customers.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of fruits and related products, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the store.

Pay rate: $29.66per hour - maximum $31.00 per hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum 30 hours and maximum 50 hours

Position available: 2

No prior work experience or qualificationis required for this role but could be an advantage. Priority will be given to local NZ residents/citizens.

- Ability to work under pressure
- Good listening skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to connect easily with people and build effective working relationships
- Be physically fit to carry out moderate to heavy duties.
