Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a MENU CLERK - FOOD SERVICES to join our team at Whangarei Hospital. This role covers potentially both weekends and weekdays on a rostered basis as the hospital operates 365 days a year

The Menu Clerk - Food Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of the hospital patient menu distribution and collation, compiling kitchen production lists and running the meal service belt. This is a key position within the food services team with responsibility for helping manage the daily operation. Key responsibilities include:
To develop and maintain strong staff relationships
Achievement of menu delivery and accuracy targets
Ensure compliance with all food related and safety quality management procedures

Previous food service experience
Conversant in nutrition and special diets
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Effective problem solving capacity
The ability to work under pressure
The ability to work with a diverse range of people
