We have an opportunity for one person to be both our **Showroom Sales Consultant/Manager and Warehouse person** in our warehouse style retail store in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. You will be responsible for the store/warehouse on a day to day basis.

This **permanent **role would suit someone who has worked in retail sales, customer service environment and/or warehousing. Shorter hours can be arranged if you have other commitments and would prefer shorter hours. We need someone who enjoys dealing with people, has the drive to succeed and is happy to work on their own.

This is a **SOLE CHARGE** role for **5* **days per week (40 hours in total):*

**- Tuesday to Saturday 9.00am -5.00pm**

** Or talk to us if you would prefer other daily/weekly hours**

Flexibility to cover other days occasionally (the non-standard rostered days) would be highly regarded.

Your **duties will include** but are not limited to:

- Provide friendly and helpful service to our customers.
- Provide product advice and assist customers with their selection from our outdoor furniture range.
- Follow up on customer inquiries, solve problems and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Maximise sales opportunities through excellent sales ability and knowledge of our product, being able to identify features and benefits.
- Ensure the warehouse showroom is maintained and presented in the best possible condition, involving some housekeeping. Opening and Closing of the premises.
- Manage the entire sales process from start to finish, you will be working on your own.
- Arrange all deliveries of the furniture.

**Ideal but not imperative**:

- Prepare deliveries for dispatch, requiring strength to move boxes of large furniture.
- Receive inwards goods and stack in the warehouse, this requires physical ability. This is help for this.

**What we need from you**:

- Great sales ability and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full New Zealand working rights.
- An interest in home styling and outdoor furniture.
- Great presentation, positive attitude with a friendly personality.
- Ideally also the strength and ability to manually handle bulky items, although, if you tick all the other boxes, this is not imperative.
- **The** **maturity to work autonomously and be responsible for the store, this is sole charge.**

This job **does not** suit students or those on travel work visas as it is a permanent role working weekdays from Tuesday to Saturday.
