Formerly Ōtākaro Limited, the Crown post-quake regeneration company in Christchurch, we have built a reputation as an innovative and achievement-orientated organisation having successfully delivered over $1b of Capital Expenditure against objectives and have made a real mark on the regeneration and betterment of Ōtautahi Christchurch.
The government has recently renamed and repurposed the company to be a NZ-wide infrastructure delivery agency. Rau Paenga now has offices in Auckland and Wellington as well as Christchurch, and we are now providing delivery services to departments, agencies and companies under the Crown, and to local government where relevant to support their one-off infrastructure project and programmes of work.
The Project Support Office (PSO) at Rau Paenga play an essential role in project and programme delivery, and they are growing The PSO is looking for a talented Risk Analyst to join their high-performing, highly collaborative team. You will play an essential role working across projects supporting the understanding of risks impacting project delivery.
**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role**
Reporting to the Risk and Reporting Manager and part of the wider PSO team, the Risk Analyst’s core function will be to deliver exceptional outcomes for the risk function through risk management improvement initiatives and processes related to the Delivery Portfolio for Rau Paenga. In doing this you will:
- Manage and facilitate project risk review workshops
- Monitor the quality of project level risks
- Maintain the relevant project Risk Registers
- Provide risk and quality assurance across projects
- Produce risk advice and reporting as required
- Support projects by identifying threats and documenting mitigation plans
**Ko koe tēnei | About You**
The Risk Analyst will bring experience and expertise from a similar role and will understand the construction sector well. Ideally you would have a construction or project management background and can translate your technical understanding in the context of risk management.
Taking a people focussed approach you make connections naturally and understand the true value of relationships. Your natural communication skills will come in handy when preparing for and facilitating risk workshops across the organisation.
