Casual Lecturer

Electrical and electronics components are increasingly more present in automotive industry and working knowledge of vehicle system electronic and electrical technology is critical for Bachelor of Applied Technology learners in automotive pathway. The courses cover theoretical and practical aspects of vehicle electrical systems, including modern battery technology, electrical distribution systems and starter technologies, as well as electronic systems, requiring strong competence in sensors and electronic controllers. Significant component of all courses are diagnostics, problem solving and hands of knowledge of modern testing technology.

The School of Computing, Electrical and Applied Technology provides an environment supportive of teaching, applied research and industry/community engagement within a range of programmes from certificate to postgraduate level. As a Casual Lecturer, you'll deliver high quality teaching for the Bachelor of Applied Technology programme.

You'll have:

- Demonstrable practical ability to lecture automotive electrical and electronics courses
- Strong industry networks
- An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
- Advanced communication skills
