Te Awamutu, New Zealand Fonterra Full time

**About us**:
We are a proud New Zealand Co-operative built by generations of farming whānau. We believe nutritious food is essential to sustain people today, and for future generations to thrive, which is why we challenge ourselves to find new ways to bring our dairy goodness to people around the world.

**About the opportunity**

Our New Zealand Manufacturing Stores team supports our manufacturing operation at every step of the journey and an opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing and Inventory Administrator to join our Te Awamutu Engineering and Consumables Store.

This is a key role supporting our manufacturing and engineering teams by ensuring that they have access to goods that they need when they need them.

With your impeccable attention to detail, you will work closely with vendors and procurement to ensure current contract rates and master data are readily available and you will coordinate and complete administrative work in a timely manner.

Core responsibilities include:

- Learning what really makes a difference to your customers, providing advice and delivering impeccable service.
- Maintaining and developing effective working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Undertaking administrative duties for inventory management, purchasing and stores functions such as data entry, raising and approving purchase orders, and charging out goods.
- Providing support to the rest of our Stores team with co-ordinating inwards and outwards movements of goods, receipting goods in and the unloading of vehicles as they continue to deliver a first class customer experience.

**About you**

Your ability to self-manage and prioritise demands will set you apart from the rest. You will have a sound attention to detail while working systematically, using your initiative to support us in achieving our goals.

While a dairy and/or engineering background would be an asset and welcome, it is your stores, inventory, purchasing, food safety and solid administration background that is ideal for this role.

Key skills:

- Experience using computerised purchasing and inventory systems preferable.
- SAP knowledge and strong skills in the MS suite.
- Customer focus and communication skills second to none.
- Strong focus on health and safety, food hygiene and housekeeping.
- Plenty of forklift experience with an F endorsement and current OSH certificate.
- Experience in chemical handling and dangerous goods/approved handler licences.

**Our Story**

Whanaungatanga, our Co-operative spirit gives us all a common strength and purpose. Manaakitanga is how we care for all our people who are at the heart of what we do, we want our farmers, employees, customers and communities to thrive. Kaitiakitanga, ensures we take care of the land. We are committed to farming in a way that regenerates our farms and environment for future generations.
