Senior Cashier

**We are seeking three enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Cage Cashiers at SkyCity Auckland. As a Cage Cashier, you will provide efficient customer service and transaction processing while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This role will be paying a starting rate of $30.00 per hour.**

**About the role**:

- Safeguarding Cage assets, including keys, and reconciling accountability
- Preparing deposits for cash and cash equivalents
- Performing cashiering functions in accordance with Internal Control Procedures
- Assisting in rostering of Cage Cashiers
- Supporting a customer-focused Cashier operation by training staff and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Actively participating in Cage Cashiering Operations to optimize efficiency
- Coaching and mentoring staff, promoting a high-performance team environment
- Reviewing and recommending improvements to Cashiering policies and procedures
- Monitoring Cage Cashier activities for adherence to policies and procedures and reporting any irregularities
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies, particularly Health & Safety and Casino Control Acts

**Must haves**:

- Relevant experience in cash handling and customer service in a casino environment
- Demonstrated numeracy and data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience in Cashiering or Financial Services (preferred)
- Staff management experience (preferred)
- The position we have available does require flexibility to work across weekends, nights and public holidays
- You will need to be over 20 years of age
- In order to obtain a Certificate of Approval you must have a good credit history
