**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in a senior nursing role in our Women’s Health Pain service, as part of an existing Clinical Nurse Specialist team. We are looking for a nurse with relevant clinical experience and knowledge within surgical nursing who are keen to develop their career specialising in acute and persistent pain management for adult patients.
**This is a fixed term role working 0.6 FTE, Monday to Sunday.**
This position is for mainly working in the Women’s Health Pain service and may include some shifts in the Adult Acute Pain service. This service provides effective pain management for all medical/surgical, and woman’s health specialties and involves clinical assessment, management of patients with acute pain on advanced pain modalities, case management, teaching and quality assurance. Our aim is to facilitate effective pain management based on the best available evidence. Both areas require working weekends and public holidays.
You will be working as a member of the Acute Pain Service in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will be committed to ongoing professional development..

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
You will be an expert/senior nurse with relevant clinical experience and have a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or Masters in specialty nursing practice. You will have knowledge within both perioperative and surgical nursing and be keen to develop your career specialising in the preadmission process for patients presenting for surgery.
