If your idea of a perfect work life balance is being part of a small
community with the backdrop of the spectacular West Coast, then this is the
role for you
Your typical
day will be spent providing antenatal and postnatal care to the wāhine of the
Buller region and you will be present at homebirths or births in our primary
birthing unit at Kawatiri, Buller Hospital and the facilities when the new
Buller Hospital and Health Centre is built. Also you will be required to travel to Te
Nikau to support women choosing to birth in Greymouth.
Outside of
work, you will have access to some of the Aotearoa's best kept scenic secrets,
with the Buller especially popular for tramping, rafting, canoeing and many
other outdoor pursuits. As well as low cost housing, daily flights from
Westport to Wellington and Queenstown.
Although you
will be based in the community, you will be provided with access to education,
training and support from the team at Te Nikau and collegially supported by
your central and southern colleagues providing LMC care.
